When I started Awaken, the intention was always to blend fashionable, modern pieces with intentional energy work and design. Awaken began as a creative outlet after I healed myself from a really rough time. I decided to step away from my law career and follow a new, heart-led life, and that life has led me to showing my crystal designs at New York Fashion Week in 2027. I truly believe wellness has entered an era where people are opening their minds to the possibility of energy and frequency healing.
A gap in the market
As a young woman, I was always drawn to gemstones. I would visit crystal shops and shop online, but I never felt the crystals were high quality or that the jewellery was a style I truly loved. Sometimes I would order online and fake crystals would arrive. Other times I would walk into a crystal shop and the energy felt muddy and unclean.
I knew there was a gap in the market, and I wanted to solve my own problem: to create a place where high-quality stones lived, where modern, energy-infused jewellery was designed, and where the owner really knew what she was selling. That, combined with my own awakening after a mentally difficult few years, was the catalyst for opening Awaken.
Stones from the sky
I trained as a certified crystal healer and sound healer, but I didn’t want my jewellery to look like other spiritual or traditional pieces. I wanted to create something different.
We specialise not only in crystals but in rare tektites, natural glass formed by meteorite strikes, each one created by a single impact. I source the rarest tektites from across the planet, such as Moldavite, which many in the wellness community believe carry the highest spiritual vibration, and set them into jewellery that looks and feels cool. Some of the crystals we feature, like Herkimer Diamond, are around 500 million years old. It’s like wearing a piece of history.

Ritual doesn’t have to look traditional
Ritual work doesn’t have to be witchy. It’s about doing what makes you feel good. Sometimes it can be as simple as dressing in what you love and wearing energetic jewellery to match.
Jewellery has been worn since ancient times as a protective symbol, a lucky talisman and a source of healing, and it was valued by early civilisations in ways we are only just starting to consider again. We are rediscovering that the ancient world, and its ways of healing, were more advanced than we often assume.

Tutankhamun was laid to rest with a scarab of Libyan Desert Glass on his chest. Known as the “tektite of the gods”, it is believed to connect the wearer to the heavens and to bring luck. Cleopatra is said to have had Lapis Lazuli ground down to wear as her famous eye flicks, for protection. Moldavite is considered by many to be the most transformational tektite ever discovered, and it has gone viral on social media thanks to story after story of people describing rapid change in their lives.

Old ways, new design
My mission will always be to blend the old ways of ancient healing with modern jewellery design, gently introducing my customers to energy healing along the way. As the line often attributed to Nikola Tesla puts it: “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
